Artist Statement
As with many artists, I've never made my living strictly as
an artist, but I've never stopped making art. Most of my livilihood
over the years has been in marketing related positions for
a variety of companies, and as an entrepreneur and business
owner.
As I've persisted with my art, my style(s), influences, and
techniques have changed. They have changed with the times
and changed with my perceptions, experiences, and perspectives.
By nature, I've always loved exploring - in old buildings,
tunnels, canyons, mountains, and in art. My exploratory approach
to art keeps the process unpredictable and enjoyable to me.
There are no rules, and following impulses and ideas wherever
they may lead is the norm. Many of the natural, organic forms
and themes in my art form a common thread from one series
to another and link the recognizable forms of the natural
world with the art forms that sprout from my mind and hands.
